Now that I have researched a few different film posters from a range of genres, I am aware of the most common conventions that appear on posters. I will refer back to this post when creating my poster, to ensure that I have included all the necessary elements in mine.

- Names of stars 

- Tagline

- Name of the director

- Title of the film (largest font on the poster)

- Billing block

- Certificate/rating

- Production company logos

- Website

- Social media links

- Release date

- Format (IMAX)

- One main image from the film

- Reference to genre through setting and costume

- Reviews and star ratings

- References to other films

- Reference to awards

- Additional images
