List of Possible Conventions that are Found in Trailers

Now that I have looked through a range of trailers (TV spots, theatrical and teaser trialers) for films from a couple of different genres, I will now list all the conventions I have found.

- Production Company Logos

- Images from the film

- Title of the film

- Release dates 

- Indication of genre

- Website/other social media links

- Voiceover man

- Editing

- Name of director/other crew/billing block

- Quote references to other films

- Images of stars/names of stars

- Reference to awards or nominations that cast/crew/film may have won

- Music that reflects the genre

- Tagline, usually broken into a number of parts

- Sound effects

- Eye candy (attractive shots of men/women, explosions, car chases)

- Variety of camera shots/movement
